I bought a grandfather clock at a garage sale, but i dont no if it works. It does not look like, its battery oper. its got like a winding machine on the back, but i've moved it and its not working. Can any one tell me how to work it?

Does it have a pendulum? Most grandfather clocks are not wind up...they have weights on a chain that you pull up and the weight makes the clock function as the pendulum swings.
Do you have any pictures of it???...inside back and out.
