I used to receive a strong signal from my wirless linksys B router (PSK encryption). now my IBM laptop (Win XP oper system) barely connects and the wirless signal drops about every 20 minutes.

well, it cant really die or break. but it can get corrupted. meaning you might need to reinstall it or get another external wireless card :)

Try to reinstall the driver for your wireless local area network (wlan). This will clear your current software and usually fix all your issues. Go to ibm.com or lenovo.com, go to your drivers and support link, pick your computer, download the software. Good Luck
most likely it has more to do with where you are in relation to your router... have you moved your furniture (so your chair is somewhere else)? have you moved the router to a different place in the room its in? things like that... small movements can make a huge difference
